VIRTUOUS

Virtuous. That is what I would have called myself. Young and optimistic. It was a different time. We didn't know what a freak Michael Jackson would become. He was gathering the greats and singing "We Are the World". Bob Geldof was gathering greats and asking "Do They Know It's Christmas?". There was a war in the Middle East that I was convinced was the start of WWIII. I had just moved to Fla and was writing songs with my N.A. nazi (not a REAL nazi LMAO) friend who I called "Perkin". Yes- Perkin- you'll be surprised (as I was) that I still have all those songs we wrote. I was in a cover band. Every once in a while we'd throw in a song one or two of us put together. No one was listening, but we thought we were doing great things. More likely they were looking at my panties when I would bend over and lift my too short skirt.

OK- The times weren't SO different. Sir Geldof is still trying to save Africa. I'm in Las Vegas which is very much like South Beach was. I still show off roo much. There is a war that I consider the start of WWIII. The music written then seems fitting now. Life is a refrain- it keeps repeating.

We won the war and we march thru the town
We fought them all now they're all falling down
We fought for truth and that truth set us free
I liberate and you celebrate me

And now the tanks and the guns and the bridges are burning
The victims of war know the tides still are turning

When we were peaceful we prayed to the Lord
Now we're disgraceful at least we're not bored
Come one come all form a line make a stand
Let's build a wall on a line in the sand

And now the tanks and the guns and the planes all are burning
The victims of war know the tides still are turning

We won the war and we march thru the town
We fought them all now they're all falling down
We fought for right against terrible wrong
We fought all night so we could sing this song

….there will be peace in the valley for meeeeee some day……

Very sarcastically written by... me
